Collection
of Personal Information
The web pages of WoburnMusic.com
do not store any personal information that may be provided to them. Any
email addresses, messages, or other information you choose to send to our
server are processed solely in the manner in which you intended it to be
and is not retained in any database. Our membership system and Forum, should
you wish it, will retain your username and password so that it may recognize
you upon entry and provide any functions or privileges to which you may
be entitled. User profile information is stored on our server and is not
distributed by or between administrators.
Your IP Address
You are, within an Internet session
(from the time you log on to the time you log off), identifiable by an
IP (Internet Protocol) address in the form of a sequence of numbers. When
you use the forum, your IP address is linked within the current session
to your username. For most users, your IP address changes every time you
log on, so it cannot be used as a permanent identifier. The listing of
IP addresses stored by our system refreshes every 24 hours and is not stored.
Your User Profile
A Profile is required for the use
of the Forum. The information you are required to provide is limited to
your complete first name and surname initial, a valid email address, and
a secret password known only to you. No one will ever ask for your password.
At your discretion, you may also add additional contact and personal information
to your Profile, which may be audited by administrators. You are not permitted
to add an actual likeness (i.e. photo) of yourself to your Profile. Your
profile and all other information is only available to registered users.
Alumni
Members of the Woburn Music community
who are former students are invited to submit an 'alumni profile'. The
information submitted, except for the email address collected for identity
purposes, will be posted on a public page.
Private Messages
Sent from user to user through our
system, private messages are intended as personal communications. They
are not regularly monitored, although the volume of messages passing through
is checked regularly. Should you receive a message which contradicts any
of the Terms of Use, notify an administrator.
Identifying a User
Registered users and their actions
are always identifiable. We refuse all registrations where the user cannot
prove his/her identity if questioned. All users are required to provide
a valid and working email address - the list is periodically checked for
"bouncing" mail. If a user violates any of the Terms of Use, he or she
may be banned permanently from all Forum activities.
Communicating with us
Feel free to contact us at any time
to discuss any issue whatsoever relating to this web site and its activities.
Administrators are reachable through private message, email, and through
the Department office. You may also send questions to our email address:
